Something new

I am starting to really get excited about etsy. I just need to get over the fact that my quilts are not good enough so I should not charge as much as I think. Looking at all the other people selling quilts on here has givin me some confidence. I just tell myself they believe in their quilts and I should too.

So with that here is another listing.

Let's Go Shopping

Ok so I opened an Etsy shop. I have been told for a long time by some friends that I should sell the quilts that I just let sit in my collection, this was after I kept saying I had no idea what I would ever do with these quilts. I have always thought that they were not good enough and no one would want to buy them. I am really nervous about it but what to I have to lose so here it goes.

9 months

Can you believe it Adam is already 9 months. I look at him everyday and cannot believe it was so long ago that we had him. We took him to the doctor last Wednesday and he is 23.7 lbs and just short of 30". The doctor laughed and said how did you little people make such a huge baby.

Adam is growing so fast. He has been walking for a little while now but lately he is just walking all over the place. I still find myself shocked when he comes walking around a corner to find me. He is just starting to say a little more then dada. He now just "talks" all day long. It is so fun to listen too all day long.He is starting to make all kinds of funny faces and makes us laugh all day. I am so thankful for him and can't wait for more fun adventures with him.

Day 2- Jan 25

Today Adam laughed uncontrolably at me shaking a cup with ice in it. I love watching him grow and watch his personality show.

Day 1 Jan 24th

Ok so I have become addicted to Pinterest and spend way too much time on it but I have found some great ideas on it and this is one. My goal is to write something that happens each day, whether small or big, that happens and then review it from year to year. I am horrible at this but I'm forcing myself to do this and will hopefully come to appriciate everything I have in life. Since I'm a little behind already I will just do a fast update on things. Adam has been a busy boy, crawling up stairs, walking behind anything he can push, and recently walking without holding onto anything. He is growing fast and I'm so glad I get to see it all. Ok so my month in review but now it is time to get down to the every day things.

Today Tuesday Jan. 24 I got to get ready without Adam on a workday. I know this sounds odd but for me it meant not stopping a little baby from lifting the toilet seat or stop him from unrolling the toilet paper or climbing in shower just to get wet.

My mother- in-laws quilt

Ok so I have been working on this quilt forever and thought that it would be fun to do.  It was fun but oh my gosh was it way more work than I bargained for.  It has a ton of hand work and applique on it. All of the lettering was hand done and than all of the pictures had to be sewn around. I was so proud to finally get it done and give it to my mother-in-law for her christmas, birthday, mother's day and than 4th of July quilt. (You see what I mean by working on it for a really long time.) Here's some pictures.
